IguideME

Background information

IguideME is an AI-driven learning analytics tool that provides personalised feedback on the learning process and learning outcomes to both students and teachers. The aim of IguideME is to support students' self-directed learning and optimize learning outcomes by providing insights in learning processess, tailored to a specific course and individual students' learning needs.

IguideME was developed and succesfully implemented at the University of Amsterdam. Educational research has shown that IguideME supports students' self-directed learning, increases motivation and enhances results (Fleur et al., 2023).

A pilot with IguideME at TU/e starts Spring 2026 and will run for about 2.5 years. Teachers from APSE, BME, IEIS, MCS and ME are involved in the pilot.

Aim of the project

The aim of the IguideME pilot is to learn if and how this learning analytics tool can support students and teachers at TU/e. The pilot evaluation will focus on the following questions:

  1. How does IguideME affect students' self-directed learning?
  2. How does IguideME supports teachers in their courses?
  3. How can IguideME be effectively embedded in courses?

The results of the evaluation will inform next steps beyond this pilot.

Results and learnings

This project has just started. Results and learnings will be added when they are available.
